Catalysts for change

We can’t change the world, but we can make a difference wherever we operate.

Nexity reached an all-time high in 2021. What are the main takeaways from these results?

Véronique Bédague Two points stand out for me: first, the Group’s tremendous resilience, largely due to the engagement of our outstanding people; and second, the fact that we were able to achieve a record-breaking €325 million in net profit (including capital gains on disposals) while simultaneously reducing our carbon emissions by 4% in residential real estate and 13% in commercial real estate. These results reaffirm the effectiveness of our business model as an integrated real estate operator and services platform. Our positioning as a service operator meant that we could quickly meet demand from our commercial clients when they turned to us during the public health crisis to find new workspaces for their employees, particularly coworking spaces, such as the magnificent location opened at Hôtel de la Marine.  Another highlight of the year was our teams’ commitment  to a low-carbon future.

We’re ready for France’s RE 2020 environmental regulation, we’re highly involved in energy efficiency renovation through our condominium management activities, and we’re breaking new ground through radical innovations like the Essentiel building in Lyon’s Confluence district. The solid results we posted in 2021 also confirm the success of the strategic review we carried out in 2020, which led us to sell.

Ægide-Domitys and Century 21 in 2021. That means we’ve emerged from this  crisis stronger, refocusing on our core services and our core geographic scope:  the French market.
